Just A Note

Last Wednesday evening I was admitted to the hospital with what turned out to be a staph infection with MRSA. It has been a challenging past week, physically, mentally, and spiritually.

I am home now recuperating and am receiving wound care (there is a hole in my thumb) and physical therapy on my right hand. Blogging probably won't be on the agenda for this week. But to say God is good would be an understatement. So many people have stepped in to help us during this difficult time. And if you would like to help, I still covet your prayers during my recovery. We are still in the woods on this one, but very much on a healing path.

Thank you for your kind words and prayers!

  1. Praying! I'm sorry for your ordeal. {{{hugs}}}

  2. Oh, my! I have added you to my daily prayer list! I understand about wound care (husband has been through that now and then for his medical condition). You be sure to get your rest!

  3. Ugh - sounds like it's been a ghastly week. Praying that your healing will go smoothly.

  4. WOW--just read this post and your previous one all in one sitting, and am thankful that you are back out of the hospital and alive to tell the story! I'm so sorry for all that you have gone through and are going through, but thankful you have friends and know the ROCK and the HEALER.

  5. Glad you are on the road to recovery. Tell your husband thanks for letting us know what was going on via Facebook.

  6. I am new to your blog. Sounds like good timing since it looks as though you need prayer for that infection. I am always afraid my husband will get something like this... he works hard and is always getting cuts and scrapes. He did once get an infection when the rooster spurred him.

    I will be praying that the infection heals up quickly and that you will get good rest during this time.

  7. I have added you to my prayer list, as well.
    Conicedentaly, I just left the hospital following knee surgery last week, and was routinely tested and found to have MERSA. I work with children with multi-disabilities and they think this is how I got it. Be careful.

  8. I've never commented before, but have been reading your blog for sometime and have enjoyed it very much. I will be praying for your recovery.

  9. Always in my prayers ~ wish I were closer. It's amazing how something seemingly so small can turn out to be something so BIG. Knowing others are praying for me always makes me feel good, so I hope you're feeling VERY good right about now because you have a lot of support. Take care ~ ♥

I love hearing from you. Please share your comment.
